You will contribute to the development of sophisticated and scalable video post-processing systems that are integrated in clinical workflows and serve doctors and medical staff in hospitals and imaging centers worldwide. Job description
We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our R&D IT team at Ligence in Vilnius. As a Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and lead large-scale data collection and data acquisition
- Lead research, development and evaluation of state-of-the-art models for medical image segmentation, detection, and classification
- Establish data governance, annotation pipelines, and ML infrastructure
- Integrate and deploy models in production environments
- Identify ML product risks and limitations and clearly articulate it to the management
- Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., clinicians, product, marketing)
Qualifications:
- Multiple years of experience in data science using Python and ML-related libraries (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc..)
- Strong understanding of statistics
- Expert knowledge of medical imaging technologies and domain-specific challenges.
- Extensive experience with advanced neural network architectures (e.g., GANs, U-Net) and training (loss, tuning, etc.)
- Experience in ML model deployment (e.g. ONNX)
- Leadership in managing data lifecycle and model deployment in clinical settings.
- Leadership in the R&D process of medical imaging ML model from inception phase to FDA/MDR approval.

Cybersecurity and Usability Engineer

About The Role
As a Cybersecurity and Usability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, usability, and regulatory compliance of our AI-powered software. You’ll work closely with our development team, ensuring that all software requirements are met, while also enhancing user experience and safeguarding against cybersecurity threats.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cybersecurity: Conduct requirement reviews, create and manage documents for regulatory approval and compliance with cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001 and FDA guidelines.
- Technical writing: Collaborate with the R&D team in writing technical documentation for the software.
- Software & User Requirements: Define, manage, and maintain software and user requirements. Identify potential user errors and ensure documents comply with necessary regulations (e.g., IEC 62366-1, FDA Human Factors Guidance).
- Usability & Software Testing: Conduct usability studies (both formative and summative), create and maintain software test plans (STP), software test designs (STD), and software test reports (STR).
- Development Collaboration: Facilitate development meetings for collaborative requirement derivation, ensuring traceability and updates through the change management process.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively improve processes, tools, and methods to enhance the overall product development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of practical experience in software/ usability/ cybersecurity requirements engineering in an agile environment;
- Proficiency in cybersecurity and functional safety standards within software development
- Experience in large-scale, user-centered product development projects;
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC 62366-1, FDA Guidance on Human Factors);
- Experience with a quality management system, including creating and managing controlled documents is a plus;
- Basic programming skills (Python) are a plus.
