At Ligence, we’re building the next generation of medical computer-vision AI-and we’re looking for a Senior Deep Learning Engineer who wants to push technical boundaries while making a real impact in healthcare.

In this role, you’ll design and develop advanced, scalable imaging processing pipelines that plug directly into clinical workflows used by physicians around the world. You’ll work with rich, complex medical ultrasound and other imaging data to create automated systems for analysis, interpretation, and reporting – turning raw clinical imaging data into actionable insights.

Job description

We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our R&D IT team at Ligence. As a Senior Deep Learning Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead large-scale data collection and data acquisition
  • Lead research and development of state-of-the-art models for medical imaging segmentation, detection, and classification
  • Establish data governance, annotation pipelines, and ML infrastructure
  • Integrate and deploy models in production environments
  • Identify ML product risks and limitations and clearly articulate it to the management
  • Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., clinicians, product, marketing)

Qualifications:

  • Multiple years of experience in data science using Python and ML-related libraries for computer vision (pytorch, numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc..)
  • Work-related experience in computer vision using deep neural networks.
  • Strong understanding of statistics
  • Extensive experience with neural network training pipelines – data exploration, sampling, model objectives, optimization, etc.
  • Experience in model deployment (e.g. ONNX)
  • Leadership in managing data lifecycle, planning data requirements.
  • Leadership in the R&D process of neural networks from inception phase to FDA/MDR approval.

Software Engineer

Your work will serve doctors and medical staff in hospitals and imaging centers worldwide, turning the complexity of medical imaging into intuitive, automated solutions for analysis and reporting.

Job description

We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our R&D team in Vilnius. As a Software Engineer at Ligence, you will work on high-impact projects within a dynamic, supportive, and mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop scalable backend systems and asynchronous workflow engines using Python
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Containerize applications and manage complex environments using Docker and Docker Compose.
  • Apply DevOps and general software engineering best practices to improve code quality and deployment reliability
  • Collaborate with the Product Team to ideate, prototype, and test new features.
  • Take ownership of technical decisions at the feature level and participate in peer code reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency and experience in Python and Docker
  • Experience with web server configuration (e.g. Nginx) and networking fundamentals
  • Experience setting up monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and general software architecture
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Celery, Temporal, Airflow)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Nice to have:

  • Experience with TypeScript and/or Frontend development
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Background in Machine Learning projects or video analysis.
  • Experience in developing software products in a regulated environment
  • Experience working in HealthTech
